Location: Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray Beach, Florida, United States
Age: adult     Plumage: ---     Activity: perching/standing
Sex: ---     Visibility: full body     Quantity: single
Photographer: Judd Patterson     Date: February 12, 2006
Equipment: Canon EOS 20D and Canon 300mm f/4L IS     Megapixels: 0.0

Notes: This species is often quite wary and well hidden in vegetation. I was taking photographs of other birds when I suddenly spotted the camouflaged snipe that was practically at my feet. I was able to take a few photographs before it melted away into some aquatic vegetation.
