Notes: This species has been listed as Federally Endangered since 1984. Everglades National Park and the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp sanctuary in south Florida provide wonderful locations for this species to nest and reproduce. Hopefully this species will soon recover so that its status can be changed to Threatened.
