Notes: The Dunlin is a small sandpiper that is less than 9 inches long and just over 2 ounces in weight. Remarkably, many individuals migrate several thousand miles between their wintering grounds and their arctic breeding grounds. The endurance and determination of such a tiny bird will never cease to amaze me.
